Book review: Fight Club

I wanted to tell you about the wonderful world of Tyler Durden. You may have heard me mention his name here and there. But let me tell you about the book, and not the movie, Fight Club!
By Chuck Palachniuk.

If you have seen the movie, you know the story. "Jack" a typical white male in his 30's. Working at a office, hating his job, not being able to sleep, and hopelessly obsessed with a lifestyle filled with IKEA and Calvin Klein. (sounds familiar hmm...)

Anyway, he meets Tyler Durden, a soap maker, who is the complete opposite of Jack. He says, let the chips fall as they may, stop trying to be perfect.

The book has a story of its own, but it is basically the same as the movie, that is also brilliant. Chuck Palachniuk and the director David Fincher are a match made in hell, or heaven, depending on how you view things.

I have read the book a couple of times, and seen the movie more than once. The ending in the movie is far superior, but since the writer Chuck wrote it, I don't mind at all.

If you haven't read it, think about getting it. It will change your life, swear to Tyler.
